As a collector, you can make arrangements with accountholders for promises to pay. Management sets the amounts you are allowed to accept in a promise and the length of commitment. These parameters vary depending on the location and functional area of the account. The Promise area displays on individual Action dialogs. The enterable fields change based on the type of promise being recorded. You have the option to record any of the following promise types:
Single – one promise amount and date;
Two Part – two promise amounts and dates;
Long Term – recurring fixed promise amount on a weekly, biweekly, or monthly basis;
Deferred Payment Arrangement – recurring recalculated promise amount on a weekly, biweekly, or monthly basis; this option is only presented on accounts that have the required data to enable this calculation;
Extended Promise1 – schedule of up to twenty promise amounts and dates that must conform to parameters established on the Functional Area Parameter table; may be an irregular schedule.
