Enter a Settlement

Follow these steps to record a Settlement Entered Collector Action:

  1. From the Collector Action drop down list, select Settlement Entered. The CACS Enterprise Browser displays the Activity dialog to enter a settlement.
  2. Select the state you wish to route the account to from the Route to State drop down list. (Optional)
  3. Select an excuse from the Excuse drop down list. (Optional)
  4. Enter the User ID to assign the account.  If you are not sure of the User ID, you can perform a search by selecting the Lookup hyperlink to open the User Lookup dialog.
  5. Enter the settlement amount that has been negotiated in the Settlement Amount field.
  6. Enter the date the settlement expires if no payment is received in the Settlement Expire Date field.
  7. Enter text regarding the settlement in the History Text box.
  8. Select the correspondence type (if any) from the Correspondence drop down. (Optional)
  9. Click Submit or Submit & Next to process the request, or Cancel to end the request.
