The Program Definition Table is used to define and maintain Programs. Each program is designed with management defined parameters to adjust account attributes based on management defined criteria. Specifically, the process is used to handle Credit Card and Mortgage Repayment Programs for collections accounts. Collectors can offer these programs (which include, for example, payment modifications and interest rate reductions) to customers who meet the appropriate criteria.
Only one Program can reside on a given account at a time. Also, a Program cannot be deleted if its Program ID is being referenced by any Program Assignment tables.
