The Detail View action buttons allow authorized users to manage detail records in the selected table (listed below the menu bar). Available actions include:
The Add button displays a blank detail record. To enter a new record, users enter details and click Save. For complete instruction see “Adding a Record to a Table”
The Delete button deletes the record currently displayed. Once the record is deleted the Menu/List view is displayed.
The Save button saves the currently displayed record.
The Save As button allows the user to create a new record pre-populated with the data of the currently displayed record. To save the new record, change the record key value to a unique value and click Save.
The Next button displays the next record from the table in ascending order.
The Prev button displays the previous record from the table (System Wide and CACS tables only).
The Close button closes the Detail Record view and displays the Menu/List view.
Other Detail View features include:
Table Key Area – This area displays the key fields from the entry currently displayed. This area is protected except during Save As or Add processing.
Non-Key Field Area – This area displays the non-key fields from the currently displayed entry
Tabs – On some views, tabs are available as a means of grouping non-key fields for the currently displayed record.
