Add/Edit IRS Report

The Add IRS Report dialog is used to specify the details for a notice that is being created.  The Add IRS Report dialog is displayed after the user selects the type of notice to add from the drop down list to the left of the Add push-button and selects the Add push-button.  The user enters all the appropriate information and selects the OK push-button.  The notice is added to the IRS Reporting view.  When the Save push-button is selected the Add Forgiveness of Debt (35930) transaction is submitted to Recovery Accounting.  If the transaction posts successfully a 249-FODS record is created in the APPLMAST file and the user is returned to the IRS Reporting view.  If the transaction does not post successfully the errors are returned to the CACS Enterprise Browser and displayed in the Messages dialog.  

The user may cancel the Add IRS Report request by selecting the Cancel push-button on the Add IRS Report dialog.  The dialog box is closed and the user is returned to the IRS Reporting view.

The Edit IRS Report dialog is used to modify the details of an existing notice.  The dialog is displayed when the Edit hyperlink in the Actions column for the corresponding notice is selected.  The user changes all the appropriate fields and selects the OK push-button.  The user is returned to the IRS Reporting view.  When the Save push-button is selected the Change Forgiveness of Debt (35950) transaction is submitted to Recovery Accounting.  If the transaction posts successfully the 249-FODS record in the APPLMAST file is updated, history records are created for the fields that are changed and the user is returned to the IRS Reporting view.  If the transaction does not post successfully the errors are returned to the CACS Enterprise Browser and displayed in the Messages dialog.  

The user may cancel the Edit IRS Report request by selecting the Cancel push-button on the Edit IRS Report dialog.  The dialog box is closed and the user is returned to the IRS Reporting view.
