The Event Schedule view allows the user to establish a set of activities that can be assigned to an account as a “To Do List” of pending activities associated with the account. These activities are completed on the account based on the status of the account or for a required treatment process/set of activities. Examples of these are:
Due Diligence Activities – a set of activities that must be completed on an account for compliance with collections process requirements.
Legal Status Activities – the set of activities that is usually applicable for the particular legal status (e.g., Probate, Bankruptcy, Foreclosure).
The use of the Event Schedule is optional, and normal treatment processing as defined through the CACS rule sets, batch processing, and user-entered activities will still be in effect. The Event Schedule facility and processing provides management with a tool to define activities that should be.
The following components are associated with an Event Schedule:
Event Profile – table definition that defines a set of activities that must be performed and other processing parameters,
Event Schedule – the set of activities that is on the account that must be completed; populated from an Event Profile or activities added to a schedule,
Activity – a unit of work that is included in the Event Profile/Event Schedule that is compared to the activities entered by the collections user or recorded in the batch process. Activity codes used to assign an event schedule to an account should not be included in the set of activities included in the Event Schedule.
Checklist Schedule – a listing of "To Do" items that can be added for a collector to complete by specified dates in the future; individual items may be locked by a supervisor to prevent a collector from modifying them.
Scheduled Secondary States – defines the secondary states to be added to an account at specified dates in the future; individual items may be locked by a supervisor to prevent a collector from modifying them.
An Event Schedule is marked as completed when all defined activities are completed, all checklist items have been completed, and all scheduled secondary states have been added.
If an Event Schedule is completed and a valid Event Profile ID is specified in Upon Completion Add Event Profile field, the corresponding Event Schedule will be added to the account.
If an Event Schedule is completed and the complete route to state (defined on the Event Schedule table) is invalid, the account is routed to the supervisor state in the functional area that the user entered in the CCH line.
