Change Responsible User

Select the Change Responsible User action from the Tools menu to change the Responsible User or Account Owner currently assigned to the account, or to change the Ownership end date or trigger value.  If the User ID is unknown, you can search for the user’s ID by clicking the Lookup hyperlink.

Follow these steps to change the Responsible User:

  1. From the Tools menu, select Change Responsible User.  The Change Responsible User dialog appears.

  2. Enter the User ID of the new user that is responsible for the account in the New User ID field, or click the Lookup hyperlink to locate the user ID.  The secondary state New User ID fields can only be modified if the account is currently assigned to any of the five secondary states.

  3. If the account has an Account Owner, enter if desired the new Ownership End Date and/or the new Trigger Value.

  4. Click OK to accept the change, or Cancel to close the window.  If you click OK, the CACS Browser updates the account to reflect the new user ID as the Responsible User.

Note: The Account View displays the current user ID assigned to the account.
