Notes

Use the Notes tab to view and/or enter notes on an account.  The notes that are identified in this view differ from the notes in the History view.  This view displays text that refers to the account as a whole, whereas History notes refer to individual activities that occurred on the account.  You can use this view to call attention to any continuing condition concerning the account.  Text in the Notes view is modifiable.  You may enter up to eight lines of text.

A green highlight on the tab indicates that there are notes on an account to be viewed.  If the notes are deleted, the CACS Enterprise Browser removes the green highlight from the tab.  The User Name, Date, and Time of the most recent Notes entry are displayed at the bottom of the view.

Follow these steps to enter a note on an account:

  1. From the Notes view, enter any information that concerns the account as a whole in the Account Notes field.

  2. Press Enter when you wish to begin a new line.

  3. Click Save.  The CACS Enterprise Browser enters your notes on the account and updates the User, Date, and Time fields.  Note:  You can navigate between account views without saving text entered on any view.  Prior to exiting an account, you must Save the information.

Follow these steps to modify/change existing information:

  1. From the Notes view, locate the information that needs to be updated.

  2. Type over any information that needs to be changed or add comments as needed.

  3. Click Save.  The CACS Enterprise Browser updates the notes on the account and updates the User, Date, and Time fields.  Note:  You can navigate between account views without saving text entered on any view.  Prior to exiting an account, you must Save the information.
